I have tried sharpening. It helps a little but not near as effective as new teeth. I believe this is because the tooth profile is worn down so much on the outside. Instead of being a square edge on the outside diameter of the auger it becomes rounded and doesn’t have a good sharp (profile wise as the rounded edge (shape wise) is still sharp). Hope that makes sense?
