Rat I wanted to ask you what RPM range you would use for the first 50 hours I have been trying to vary between idle and 1500- 2000 for loading the bucket?

The manual states simply not running it at full RPM for the first 50 hours. Mine is about 2900 RPM max. I never use that anyway so no problem. With my L3830, I found 2200 to 2300 to be the optimum power/RPM/noise range. On my L48 it was more like 1900 RPM. I think the L4330 at up to 2300 RPM would be in its ideal range for loader use. I typically vary depending on use, I tend to shoot for right about 2000 RPM for typical uses. You would be doing well at 2000 to 2200 RPM I should think. It doesn't sound like much difference between 2000 and 2200, but get on the tractor and see (hear) the difference. You have a dynamite setup, the LA 853 is really a great setup on that tractor, an optimum setup.

Thanks Rat and everyone else at TBN for all the help in getting the right specifications on my tractor especially the HST transmission I was reluctant at first because we use Hydro’s at work and they are expensive to repair and hard to replace but for loader and box scraper work it’s the only way to go. The control you have is just amazing. I will try it tomorrow using 2000 / 2200 rpm’s I just wanted to be sure I break the tractor in correctly I feel that would be the best way to assure long trouble free service.

Thanks again

RaT:

I probably said it before, but I mostly run the 5030 just above an idle for bucket work, unless I am in a hurry. Diesel is getting expensive, you know. I like his canopy of his tractor. I had one on my 3710, but it vibrated pretty bad. I did keep the sun off my neck so it didn't become red!!
