hey all

just took possession of a 2002 4410 HST with 430 FEL. Its definitely got the 'new' washed off it, but only has 640 hours. So far I love it.

one thing that drives me batty....when i lift the FEL, the right side is quite a bit higher. i guess i'd love to see it dead on the same on each side. is this because 1 cylinder is stronger? are there proportioning valves of some sorts to bias one side?

tia!!!

First thing is to check the front tire pressure. If that doesn't help, disconnect and reconnect the loader Quick Disconnects (don't get'em mixed up).

front tire pressure is irrelevant. front axle pivots. Rear tires will tell the story on how level the tractor sits....

stand in front of the tractor and see if the bucket is "level" with the tractor...( if the tractor is leaning to one side then the bucket will be)

Try and eliminate some things there are way to many things that could cause this...

Apparently, you've never had a low front tire pressure on one side...otherwise, you wouldn't have posted that.

I did...on my old 790. It sure made the loader look wacky. Anyway, always check the easiest things first (tire pressures, QD's). It's simple and doesn't take much time.

Wango Tango...did you operate the tractor and loader before you bought it?

No valve to bias or proportion cylinders, only way one would be stronger is if one had an internal leak.
Could the loader mast be tweeked?
Loose mount(s)?

apparently, you don't know....

if you have a low front tire it will make the front axle sit uneven compared to the main tractor. and since the loader is attatched to the tractor, not the front axle, you would understand that the loader moves in relation to the rear tires (axle) and not the front.

think about it....

All I can tell ya, Bro...I did have what appeared to be an uneven loader and the "fix" was to up the pressure (which was way low compared to the other tire).

Lower the pressure in one of your front tires...

roy,

lets say your driving on a perfectly flat area. bucket is a foot off the ground. drive a front tire into a pothole. bucket lowers some but stays level to the ground. now when the back tire gets to the pothole, the whole tractor leans as a tire falls in. the bucket tilts the same degree as the tractor.

The loader is attatched to the tractor frame which is SOLID with the rear axle. haven't you seen your front axle pivot as you drive over mounds or in a hole???

Not trying to get off topic but need to explain how this works....

If that fixed your uneven loader i'd say you were comparing the bucket to the front axle...which in that case would cause that.

i did. and it did the things you said to look for. it raised the front end with the bucket and the boom.

While the good natured banter is fun to read, first I have to agree about the front axle not making too much difference. My question is when the bucket is lowered does it look crooked then too? If it looks straight then why does it look crokked when it is up? I would check the loader boom.
