2006 Mahindra 4530 with 511 backhoe/Kubota B-1700
Picked it up yesterday in Muskogee, OK. I just sold a bota L4200 which is the same HP as the 4530 but there is no comparison. It is like comparing Trucks N Tonkas. The 4530 is huge compared to the bota. My wife said " now thats a freakin tractor." It has a 511 BH and a loader which are also huge and they all work great together. kept my bota B1700 cause the 4530 cant get around the yard too well. Sorry so long but I love my new tractor.

you should take some pictures and post them. how much did you have to pay? i was thinking about trading up to 4wd in the future and it will probably be a 4530. i would mind getting a case jx series they are heavy to and a little more refined engineering wise but.............. there also about $10,000 more and i just cant afford that.
what do you plan on doing with the 4530?

Fish, I paid 27,6sumptin, can't remember without lookin. Got 4530 with ind. tires, loader(skidsteer QA) , 511 backhoe. He gave me 8-50lb. suitcase weights free. Don't know if I will ever use the weights. The dang thing weighs about a million lbs. already. Both rear tires rubbed the inside of the fenders on my trailer. When I pulled it past the center, front tires came almost completely off the ground on my F-350 4X4. Every time I touched the brakes, the front tires skidded.(the truck has a heavy elec./hyd. dump bed on it already.) I had to stop about 5 miles down the road and back the tractor up abour 3 ft. then everything was fine. I have trailer brakes but I guess they need some adjustin. I live in NE Oklahoma and have 120 acres plus I take care of a place next door for a guy in Washington state that is 2000 acres. Also help with my father-in-laws cattle ranch which is about 400 acres. We also do a little logging.(father-in-law owns a little sawmill) I worked my Botas harder than most people could imagine for 9 years and never - ever had a warranty claim(or any other problem); I hope the 4530 does half as good. Father-in-law bought a 50hp 4x4 bota a couple of weeks ago but I wanted something a little bigger. If this thing don't hold up, I will never live it down. I will try to take some pics when I get time and post them.

Worked the tractor pretty hard today. I pushed/moved boulders around for 3-4 hours. The rocks were 1000-2000 pounds maybe a little more more and the 4530 handled them pretty good. The tractor has plenty of power but the loader bucket is kinda weak. I bent the crap out of it pushing a big rock. I put a jack in the bucket and straightened it somewhat(still looks well used). Thats what I bought it for and I will be doing the same thing with it again tomorrow. Might have to buy a rock bucket if I can't strengthen it a bit. Fish, i'm still gunna get you those pictures when I get time but they may not be pretty. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

rock bucket would be good, or a toothbar from markham welding works well too to reinforce the cutting edge. Mine was around $300 I think..

Tim, I'll take a look at Markham toothbar when I get time. I really banged my bucket up bad yesterday. Top was really caved in and the bottom lip was also bent pretty bad. Got it looking acceptable for a working tractor. Worked it hard again today. Everything worked great but I twisted the level indicator up pretty badly pushing a small tree. When I backed up, a limp caught on the indicator and ripped the two pieces completely apart. I banged and twisted on them for a while and stuck them back together and they work fine again. Not as purdy but it works for me. I need to take a day off and bombproof my tractor before I really mess something up. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
