New 5030

I took delivery of my 5030 late friday night and I've already got almost nine hrs on it. What a nice machine.
Loader, backhoe, pallet forks, RFM all work great. Another happy Kubota owner has been born. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congradulations on your purchase. I really think the L5030 is a great tractor, lots of hp and still an intermediate sized machine. Which transmission did you get?

I have the HST. It's very smooth but taking some getting used to. My Case is geared with a shuttle shift so i'm used to using my left hand for back and forth, now it's heal toe. Also, when doing loader work, I'm used to mashing the throttle, the HST is a different beast. I'm sure i'll get the hang of it. HST was great for using the finish mower.

I like that nickname. I like your tractor too. I've included a picture of mine. It's a little older than yours as I got mine when they first introduced the 5030's.

I haven't run into another 5030 owner on TBYNet yet. Maybe we should start our own forum as it takes steel hinges on your wallet to step up to a 5030!!

I bought mine from RI Harvesting on the Ct/RI line (junction of routes 95 and 184). They are about 3 miles from my house and are a family owned business that i've used for years. I'm very happy with the sale and how i was treated.

Very nice Tractor /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Actually i've been following your posts as, as you mentioned, not many 5030 owners here.

I was actually looking at the 3830 and, belive it or not, my wife suggested i go for the 5030. She knows me and knows that i like big toys. SHe said for the additional $ you may as well get the big one. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Anyway, after using it over the weekend I'm glad I have the larger tractor. I have a Case 580 that i will be selling and the 5030 is definately going to help with the separation anxiety.
