New to the forum, but thought I would throw this one online. Just made a trip to pick my 57 841 powermaster. I love this thing. Anyone know a good place to pick up parts for it? Thanks

Do you have an extremely low sn unit? The "1" in the 841 means that it was a produced for model years 1958-1962 an XX0 would have been model years 1955-1958. * is 172ci engine ( unless diesel ).. and 4 is the 4 spd, single plate clutch, nonlive pto.

Nice looking tractor. An uncle of mine had a very similar one--be careful--his didn't have power steering (as I recall), and he hit an unseen stump. The wheel turned, breaking his wrist!

Have fun, stay safe.

Nice looking tractor. It reminds me of the 'new' 860 Ford that I used to run. It was restored, as well.

Nice looking tractor. I traded mine away last spring. It had the 3 speed Sherman auxillliary transmission as I see yours does. Lights & toolbox can be found on Ebay along with many other parts & manuals. I had a broken gear in the Sherman & got one from a request forum on Yesterday's Tractors. I had problems with the fuel injector pump unless I used high sulfur diesel. The metering rod would hang up in the off position & it wouldn't start. If you can't get high sulfur you should use a lubricating additive in your fuel. Enjoy your new toy.

Thanks for the boost in confidence with the tractor. What additive are you adding? I can't get higher sulfur fuel around here. At least not that I've seen

Addatives like 'Power service', and others (read lable) add cetane boost, and lubricity factors to the fuel.

I have used power service ever since i got my first diesel.
