If you don't mind me asking... how much for the skid shoe? I'm thinking making my own but if the price is close enough I might as well just buy it.

I think they were around $130. Bought some more stuff while I was there so I'd have to dig out the bill to be sure. I think I'm pretty close though.

I went to Harmony to get a Stihl trimmer shortly after moving here and was telling Don about the property I had purchased and was going to need a tractor but not today. He asked if I would like to try a Massey for a few days to see what I thought of them. I said uhhh, OK. He didn't know me from Adam and was willing to have a tractor dropped off at my house for me to use and try out. He was also the first person I had done business with that didn't have some sort of remark about my strong southern voice. To make a long story short, I loved the MF 1529 and walked back in Harmony two days later and paid him for a new one which was delivered the next day with a new rotary cutter. Don went that exta mile to make a sale to a total stranger and also made a follow up call one week later to see how thing were going and just to BS. Now that's service.:thumbsup:
