Tires New 855 Rear Tires

I just bought a 1997 Model 855, with a 420 loader, with 2000 hours on Black Friday. It runs fine, and everything works (except a couple lights). It needs a new/recover seat. It will also need rear tires soon. They are (loaded) turf tires and the sizes don't match all the specs I've seen. The specs I've seen are 23x8.50-12 fronts and 33x12.50-15 rears. I'm considering R4's, but I'd like to see SOME other options...

The ones I have on there now are 25x8.50-14 fronts and 36x13.50-15 rear. I can find front tires all over (R4 or turf), but only have found one site with the rear size (turf only - blems).

1. Are these the right size for this tractor?
2. Anyone have a source for R4's in 36x13.50-15?
3. Truck/mudder tires in 36x13.50-15?
4. Should I get the new rears loaded too? (I assume YES, due the loader).

1) The tires on your tractor were available, maybe an up grade option?, so they are correct
4) Yes, or plan on cast iron wheel weights and rear ballast on the 3pt hitch

Go to a regular tire dealer/shop. The can usually get a hold of about any size tire and tread pattern. I went to a tire shop and he didn't have the tires I needed. He ordered them and had them the next day. Also, a tire shop can put fluid in the tires if you want to.

To each his own. A tire shop can put on the size you currently have and you can pick you tread pattern (turf, ag, industrial). It would probably cost maybe 100-125 dollars per tire. I just put some ag tire on my mf about 6 months ago.

I put mud grips on to replace my turfs. I stuck a hole in one driving over a gnarly thorny vine but other than that they have worked out okay. I think I paid 300 for the pair from discount tire on eBay.

If it's 4WD you will need to stay with the original diameter tire. According to my manual the 36x13.50-15 was the correct size for an 855. Mine is 2WD and had 33s on it so I stuck with those. The manual says the 33s were only on the 755. Go figure.

When you replace the seat I suggest getting the original black color. The original seat will bolt right on and I think it was about $132 from my local dealer. I bought mine in yellow and it mildews easily. Magic eraser seems best for getting that off in case you go yellow.

I was kind of wondering how all that was going to come together. I would not recommend for the farm, but for you application I think they will do good. They even look good. Hope you have good luck with them.
