Any mower can be abused beyond it's design limits.
A guy down the road was raising heck about yardmans being junk had taken back 2 for not cutting level. I saw him the other day using the deck for a step getting on and off. He weighs about 300 :)

Not cutting level after that!!! Hahaha... thats funny stuff!

When I changed mowers several years ago, I kept the deck from the old one, removed the spindles and fit some grease fittings into them. When a spindle went bad on the newer mower I replaced it with one of the old ones. I understand that bolt patterns and spindle length may be different, but if its not a lot you can shim them to make up for the difference.

Outrageous. FIL wanted me to pick up a couple sets of blades for his new mower. I checked every Walmart between where he bought it (Ennis) and where I work in North Dallas, couldn't match up #'s called for in parts book. Went to Northern Tool, they didn't have them. Went to TSC, found 2 sets (2 blades per pack). $75.00:eek: :eek: I couldn't believe it. They are 21" blades with the * hole in the center. He wasn't happy, but what else you going to do.
