Those look alot like the tires off a B6000. A B6000 has different wheels and lug patterns though.

I don't understand the advantage of those tires vs the bar tires that come on the BX series from the factory. Is there a reason you didn't want the standard bar tires? Just curious.

The deal i got for them was exceptional, and I want them for deep drifting snow and mud that i seem to get my self in, and their performance in mud is even better than i expected. with the turfs i have, I was getting stuck in a big mud bog just outside my shop now i can fly throught it fowards and reverse. All I can say is bring on the snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe it is just the angle of the photo, but in picture 3 the front tires look to be about the same diameter, but the new rear tire seems to be larger than the one that came off.

Did you measure the circumferece of the tires? How did they compare?

Those tires sure look like they will do what you want them to. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Henro: If you see the tires off the BX, the new ags are bigger by Quite a bit I would say the backs are about 3 inches taller and the fronts are about 2 inches taller (just a guess) I did think that the picture did not show the difference in size of the tires but I am very happy with what they have done for me yesterday. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I would think you would know exactly what diameter they are. After all, if you do not keep the proper front/rear size ratio, you will destroy your 4wd drivetrain components.

It's not like you can just mount any size tire that will fit...
You did perform the mathematical calculations based on the tire specs, right??

One thing that I would be concerned with is the clearance between the tire and the mower deck. On my BX2200 with a 60 inch deck the deck rubs on the tire when the deck is in the TOP position. The dealer told me that there is no way to fix the problem without misadjusting the deck. An extra 3 inches in diameter could be a problem.

Have you had your deck on since you bought the new tires?

The tire size that is supplied by Kubota for the BX series tractors is a 26 x 12.00-12 for the rear and a 18x8.50-8 for the fronts. The designated tire size is the same whether you get ag's or the turf tires. Every other subcompact tractor I have looked at Deere 2210, NH TZ, and the Massey 2300 series all use the same size rear tires as the Kubota BX. The front tires differ on the Deere and the Massey in that they use a 10" diameter rim but the tire diameter is the same ( 18 ). The tires you have on your tractor definitely don't look like any tire/rim combo I have seen on any of the subcompact tractors. They are taller and narrower. Maybe Kubota in Canada supplies different tires for their tractors than the US versions in some instances? The comment that a previous poster made about having driveline problems if the tires are mismatched might be something you want to worry about. As long as the ratio of the front and rear tires stays the same as the originals that were supplied with the tractor however you shouldn't have to worry about anything. There has to be some margin of error in the driveline - the diameter of an ag type tire is going to change quite a bit from a brand new tire vs. one that is worn. I would interested to know what the actual tire sizes are that you have on there now - the size should be on the sidewall of the tires.

Well Jim I must say I know nothing about tire sizes. I went and looked and the numbers I found were as follows
fronts were 4.5-10 and the backs were 7-14. these were the only numbers I could find. I did notice a lot of Japanese letters?

If your dealer told you that these were "BX2200 wheels and tires" he lied. As jim_wilson mentioned, proper tire size is 26 x 12.00-12 for the rear and a 18x8.50-8 for the fronts. I have a set of ag tires and a set of turf tires, both for the BX2200, and know whereof I speak. I have no idea what you have but they are NOT for the BX2200.

It's worth your while to get the genuine article; the '2200 has more power than traction even with the proper tires. Yours are narrower than the real thing. and will slip more under heavy loads.
