Just joined up with the message forum here. I've recently purchased some land behind the house and plan on doing some farming with the family. We have 4 boys that I will hope to feed from the land via larger garden and the addition of some pigs to go with the chickens we already have. I've got a 1973 Ford 3000 Gas that is a hand-me-down from my father. He set it out to pasture about 15 years ago when he bought a new NH 4650. So, I've been working on the ole girl lately and have her back running. I think that it awesome that my boys will be able to grow up with the same tractor that I did! I'm looking forward to reading and learning from here and possible even help out a little(if I can).

Yes sir. I've got a Ford 7209 for it.

Pulled the loader out of the weeds this morning and got it back on the tractor. I was surprised everything worked fine after sitting for about 10 years.

Loader looks good for sitting for 10 years. How are the hoses? They look ok in the picture but can't see them too well, the sun is hard on hydraulic hoses.

The hoses are a little long in the tooth, but they are working. The hard lines are rusted pretty good too. And the bucket tilting hydros are pitted with some rust. But it is holding together. Used it for about three hours yesterday.
