New B21 for 24,500. Good deal or Not?

Hey, I have been thinking about upgrading, my BX 23, and have been looking at a B2620, or B2920, TLB packages. I have also though about a B3200, but the other day a thread advised about virabations, and I test drove one and yes it vibrated to much for me.
Looking around I ran into a dealer in Cenla, that had a New, but Year Plus old of sitting on the lot, of a B21, it needs, the fuel glass cleand out, and has some paint fading, and paint rusting off at the ends of the hydraclics. also has not been greased good, in a while.

What are yalls thoughs?

I'd be looking at a B26 at that point. Its only marginly more expensive and much more modern.

I got my B21 back in 2000 for $24,500 new with work lights etc, and it didnt need any TLC as you describe and Messick is right on - the B26 as the better upgrade - you will be much happier in the long term. Otherwise offer maybe $23K or so..

The B21 is tough as nails and will do a lot of work, but the B26 has a lot of features - Hyd thumb, and quick connect bucket, forks, and more attachment options the only negative is you drive up the cost with the add ons.

Also depending on what you need to do should dictate the choice too. One other small point is overall height - the B21 is around 88" and the B26 90" so you will need an 8' high door for either unit if you are storing inside.

Sounds high... I only say that because new units come with a warranty, great financing and you need real money to buy used and there's a lot out there for sale...

Looked at a very low hour B26 today... it looked like a Demo unit, it was that clean. Price was firm at 25,900 and I decided it was still too high to justify...

Y'all are right, the 24,500 is High, but this is a New Unit, with only 2 hours on the Meter. That said, it has sit in the sun, and weather, for almost two years, and show's it.

If I could get it for around 22,000. that would be a good deal, but, I don't think they are going to come down any more.

I am heading back to work, in Scranton, PA, and hope to pass by Neal's, Monday, but might not have time, this trip back to work, might have to wait until, I am heading back home, in two months.

I only made it to Chattanooga, TN tonight, I still have over 700 miles to travel tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies. I have really enjoyed my BX 23, and that is all I need, but I want more. Right now, I would settle for a 2620 TLB package, and I don't think I want a B3200 due to the Virabiation issue.

Being a new unit, it should still have a warranty... right?

One thing I do like about the B20 and B21 is a lot of it is armoured with plate vs. sheet metal.

The Rental Yards around here were not too happy when the B26 didn't have the armour...

The Thumb and extra lift of the B26 might be a consideration.

I've had a B21 for 9 years and it is a great little TLB. Do keep in mind that if you use many PTO powered implements it is weak on PTO power at 13 hp.

My tractor sat out on the lot less than a week. No way would I pay
big bucks for a lot rot tractor. 2 years is a long time to sit and rust
on a lot. My tractor is stored in a garage! And yes I throw some wax
on it from time to time.
