Nah, any old red grease from say Home Depot :thumbsup: Re-apply it as often as directed (about every 10 hours) & it won't matter what kind you use.
Nice tractor, BTW :thumbsup:

Congratulations! Nice looking tractor.
Be sure and check the fluid in front drive now and after a couple of hours use. There are cracks and crevices that hide from the fluid on initial fill and then accept it and scares people when they check it later and find it low. Many blame the dealer for not filling but it's a part of the beast.:thumbsup:

well I ran the tractor some today and checked the front axle fluid... per JT advice.... 
looks low on the stick to me... I will have to get some more fluid.. I only used 4x4 when digging up a old root ball on a tree.. I re read my manual it says use UDT or Super UDT or 80 90 wt. as a replacement.. does anyone no know what is in it form the factory??? JT Im sure you know the answer to this... I think you are right on about it being low due to the fact it has to circulate...
I also took the time to tie wrap the hyd. lines a little neater so that they dont hit the side of the hood.
The sun was out all day so I did get some seat time.. I stayed in the woods though... digging and using the BB to level some ground.. great machine plenty of power... I will fill up the axle before I run the unit again..

DisplacedPA , Its my understanding they come with UDT or Super UDT, but I can 't remember which my dealer said . At 400 hr change my dealer recommended 80 90 wt . Keep in mind I live in the hot deep, South where winter is practically non-existent .
If you 're goin' to your dealer for fluids, ask them about original fluid and what they recommend at the 400 hr change for your climate .
Edited to add : be careful about over filling . It probably won 't take much . See fluid quantities in manual .

Checked the fluid again today it looks low after running a bit today... Im going to go to the dealer after work tom. and ask them about what kind comes in the unit from the factory... I don't think I would have ruined anything in the hour I ran it today..
The first project the wife asked me to do was level the area where our fire pitt is.. I happily went to work as she when off to Costco's I ran out of dirt but made good progress.. I cut down one tree while she was out also. When she returned I said come on down here hun and drive the tractor for me. She drove it and was laughing the whole time as I loaded up the bucket with logs.. We both had a great time... She said Now I know why you wanted a tractor...

Big mistake, you'll never get any credit for doing work now when you drive the tractor.

Well today I bought a gallon of SUDT fluid today between the front diff and the rear I was 1 quart low. The rear may need a bit more but ill let it sit over night and check the level again.
