Kubota B2601
I dont actually have my tractor yet, but i should have in a couple weeks.
Currently have 5 acres of mostly wooded with some grass/cleared area & need to do some cleanup.

I lurked around for several months and decided on the B2601 after reading a bunch of posts (after initially thinking BX series).
Went to the dealer and worked out a spec sheet today.

(guy said there were good deals available on L-series right now btw, but the L is just too much tractor for me). Gotta have something to look forward to...

Congratulations on your coming tractor. I looked at a B2301 and ranked it against the JD 2025R I have now. The B came out ahead in the ranking, but I went with the JD because the dealer is so much closer and had treated me fairly well.

If you do much work in brush, you do not want the underneath cooling fan of the BX. I even had an HST coupling pop apart from a collar being pushed by a piece of brush. Some other brush once jerked the oil dipstick from my Gravely's engine.

I had started looking at the BX (which is mostly all the tractor i need but read a bunch of stories about needing to add fan guards and such so i took a step up to the B (its really not very much money difference). I stuck my head under a couple of B's at the dealer and it looks pretty robust under there. I have a lot of overgrown brush although my land is mostly level. I'm thinking i will eventually add a brush hog.

Congratulations on your B2601, it is a real nice upgrade over the old Bxx20 Series, it should be just right for your property. Did you get the SSQA FEL or other extras? Oh and of course shortly after arrival, you'll start think how much you need extra implements.:)

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Enjoy the site... which you obviously have in the past for your new rig.
