I had been going back and forth between a kioti and a kubota and ended up buying a 7800 today.

Can someone give me some advice on what bush hog, finish mower and boxblade they use with this tractor? It's going to take a few days for the front end loader to come in and unfortunately my new house will not be finished until November.

I've been hearing conflicting views on what this tractor is capable of pulling and want to make sure I don't buy the wrone thing. Thanks

Welcome to TBN and congratulations on the purchase of a great tractor.

I can only comment on the bush cutter. I have a 60" light duty bush cutter and it handles everything that I have put it into with ease...thick grass and weeds, bushes up to 5 ft. tall and birch trees up to 1" diameter. I find that size to be a perfect match for the B7800.

Have fun with your new toy..er..tool..:D

Great tractor. I have a 5' king kutter rough cut mower. I have mowed over 4" poplars without a problem. It is rated at 1" max. however it has taken the abuse over 3 years and probably 30 hours of mowing. I have hit huge rocks as well without any effect except marked up blades. In thick stuff, the tractor bogs a little, so I just slow down. I think a 6' mower would be too much. I have the 5' kubota box blade. When it is full of gravel, it makes the tractor spin. I usually have a bucket full of material for extra traction. Have fun with the new tractor.

I'll second the 5' brush hog. I'd say a six foot finish mower will be appropriate, but stick to a five foot box blade.

I also agree-5 foot bush hog and 6 foot rear finish mower. I have a B3030(with cab)and have a Woods GB60 box blade.to do it again,a 65-66" box blade would be a little better for me. Local Woods dealer suggested a 6 footer for a 30 HP four wheel drive tractor.I was a little more conservative in my expectations, but would go to the Woods GB65 in retrospect. And congrats for joining the Kubota community.

I don't know if you got the midmount PTO option but if you did go with the 72inch deck. The blade speed is phenomenal! No quicker cut or better cut out there with any brand. Super trimmer around trees too.

It has the mid pto.I don't know if I got screwed or not,but the tractor was 11,100 and the fel was 3700.They're putting on the replacement seat and r4 tires they had 3 and this was the last one.

I was thinking if I could find out what parts I needed, upgrading to the telescoping lower links-the parts guy siad he didn't know what would fit.

I have a 66 inch sundown box blade. I love it because it is wider than the rear wheels and I can get close to things without getting the tractor into it

I have a 6' rear discharge Landpride which I used on my B7800. I have some steep areas and never had a problem with power. The only "oddity" was when I would reach the bottom of the hill and make the turn the mower would sort of swing the tractor and yes I had the FEL on. It was never a problem because I knew it was going to do it. I had a cheap RFM "Jolle, French made, I think" first which was alot lighter weight but it kept breaking so traded it back to dealer for a Landpride. I traded the B7800 for a L3240HST and it has no problems with the weight of the mower moving the tractor but the B7800 handled it better with maintaining the rpm's when climbing a steep hill while mowing. When I trade again I may go back to B series.
