Just to let you know ........... on a toothbar ...........
Markham Welding (which, by the way is in NC) just got in their order of teeth and are now taking orders for toothbars. I've got one coming this week. Supposedly they make one of the best and you can't beat their price. Mine is running $285.00 and that includes shipping.

Congrats on your new tractor!!!

Your dinner that day chicken pastry brought back alot of memories my mom use to make that often when I was growing up I always enjoyed that dish. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good luck with your projects.

Welcome to TBN. Nice lookin' 3130! Dittos what everyone else says about the box blade and toothbar. Your L3130 should handle a 72" box. You can get them in light, medium and heavy duty versions. If your land is anything like mine - we're up in Greensboro, by the way - the medium duty model will be a good match for your soil conditions and your tractor. The med. duty 6 footers have enough weight to work well, which is also a pretty nice counterbalance for the loader.

You can also look into ballasting the rear tires for the same reasons. Until you get some weight back there, be careful about lifting anything heavy in the loader very high... those things can get tippy!

All the best to ya!

Thanks again to everybody! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Was going to try to work it some more yesterday but it was just too wet. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I want to weld some hooks on the top of the bucket, but all the hooks that I find are made to bolt on to chains. Do they make a hook with a flat edge that can be welded on? I am going to try a site search. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Grandad,
I came with loaded tires, but know what you mean about getting it top heavy.

Markham Welding for a tooth blade- I will look them up.

Hi mj1... I am just up the road from you on the north side of Durham. Nice new Tractor!!

I ordered my toothbar from Markham... super nice people and a real quality toothbar at a good price. For bucket hooks that are flat (made for welding onto flat surface), go to AW Direct:
http://www.awdirect.com

Have fun with your new toy...uhhh, I mean "tool" and by the way, get some ballast on the back soon to offset the bucket weight (BB is a good choice). In the meantime keep your loaded bucket low to the ground to avoid tipping, and be ready to drop the bucket down fast if you do feel yourself starting to tip.
