I'm just getting used to things, but so far I love the way the new engine is working. Of course I have less than an hour on the machine. I'll post more after the weekend to give a better opinion.

Thanks for the photos and congratulations.
A couple of observations on engine compartment layout from mine. Notice they moved the fuel tank back inside and front, no longer attached to the underside of the hood. Exhaust muffler outside. Heat shield where muffler used to be? Improvments continue with each model year.
Could not tell if the pumps are both located in front of the engine or if they are split between front and back.
Keep us posted on your progress and fun projects.

Quite a few changes from my PT-425!! And mine is less than 5 months old!!

Good move getting the Bar tires! They work great!! For air pressure I suggest 7# Rear and 11# Front. Best traction and best ride while reducing stress on the wheel motor bearings!!

That looks great Pairodime! I really like the fuel tank and muffler relocations, although the fuel tank looks like it might have to be removed a lot. Will that hydraulic filter come out w/o taking the tank off? No matter, I doubt that taking the tank off is much of a task.

One thing that has been nagging at me though. While product evolution is a great thing, constantly moving parts like the muffler and fuel tank back and forth from one spot to another raises questions. I know there are always tradeoffs in everything that you do; moving a part here causes this benefit and that drawback. Putting it over there, the opposite benefit and drawback. But as many years as they have been building these things, it seems like they would have established something as basic as the best muffler location by now. It is great that they are a small enough company that they can make product improvements on the fly, but is it worrisome that they make changes every time they make a new lot?

Regardless, that is one great looking tractor, and I just wish the next 3 weeks would fly by so that I can make my pilgrimage to Tazewell. I count a small bucket, minihoe, dump trailer, and snow blade. What other cool things did you get?

Nice set up! Wondering what lines are used to work the bucket?
