Hi:

Just got the BH6000 installed on the 2305. What a workhorse... ;) Took out 4 stumps in maybe 4 hours. 2 were easy , 1 was hard, and 1 was unbelieveable.
Very sturdy looking unit. Very powerfull for it's size. I was impressed, now I've just got build up my feathering skills with all those valves... I've put some pictures. Look at the size of the stump and the hole. BTW, the thing sticking out of the stump isn't the tree, it's one of it's large roots I had to break through.

I also just got the powerflow bagger too. It didn't work too well on wet grass but I think it'll work fine on dry stuff. I can't say I'm fond of the mounting system. Requires drilling one (left) draft arm, removing the other, bolting on the support. And while the support is on you cannot use any other 3pt attachments. If you want to switch attachments frequently this might be an issue.

I'll bet those were four happy hours of playing!!! Great pix. The last one makes the stump look bigger than the whole tractor.

Hint: if you go cut down 4 more trees at knee level, you will have an excuse to go dig up four more stumps.

Orlo,
That's a truly exciting tool. I'm thinking of ways to slip one into the finances.

Did the folding ROPs come as part of the bh, or, if not, how did that happen? That's been the one major annoyance of my 2305. Also, if you don't mind, was the 6000 a dealer item, and what did it set you back? How much time does it take to mount/dismount the unit?

I worked the folding ROPS in from my dealer when I bought the 2305. I put it on myself (Just 10 bolts and disconnecting/reconnecting routing the lights).
It's a FEMCO (made for 2210 but fits fine).

The BH6000 did add a seat bracket so the seat flips around.
They run around 6k. My dealer charged me around $5,800 which I thought was a pretty sweet deal for such a nice backhoe.

Supposedly it takes 3 minutes on and off and I'd believe that once I get some
experience. I had issue taking it off due to sticky lock hinges that I need to grease and maybe sand a hair to make them a little easier to move (I had to nudge them with a rubber mallet to get it off). But basically you back it up, hook up the hydraulic quick connects, align it, raise it into the brackets on the tractor with the stabilizer bars and flip the lock hinges down.

You do need to take off the 3pt draft arms to install it but they come on and off easily.

Orlo, what about extra hydraulics? Does this thing just hook up to the exsisting unit or do you have to make modifications? I was told there had to be extra oil lines hooked up?

What did they charge you to attatch it?

Thanks for the action photos and the comments. Very useful post. When you take it off, I'd be interested in a photo of the BH when it's not attached to the tractor.

Question 1:

Part of the kit from woods includes a 'power to the rear' type setup
that the deal tapped into the pump with. The BH hooks up to these
quick connects.

Realistically a PTO pump could have a higher pump output. (The 2305
doesn't have a very high flow rate) but I think this is more convenient.

Question 2:

I did take it off and I'll take some pictures next weekend hopefully.

how does the BH6000 compare to the factory 260 backhoe? any cheaper?
