Yea the new ones suck although they do help stop fuel spillage as i can turn it up and then open it while in the filler neck, this allows you to fill the tank more to fuel up from. If no fumes leak does it have a release valve if you store gas in it that gets hit in the sun to keep it from bursting. I like the kind from about 6-8 yrs ago that have the solit neck with the little yellow cap on the end that can then be turned upside down to store it in the tank. These even with the spout up are fume proof, i cant tellyou how many times i have pushed the yellow cap all the way down and the tank is buldging from temp change or the sun.
The new ones pour twice as slow as the old ones as they gulp gulp glup, casue there is no air flow into them.
