So, really, curved glass is sort of the antithesis of "hot spots" or anything of the sort because sound waves are always varying and bouncing off of a surface with nearly limitless focal points.

??? So a parabolic reflector doesn't work? How about a satellite dish that focuses it's waves on a receiver? Would either work if what you describe is correct. What you describe just doesn't relate well to my years as an optical & acoustics research engineer.
