NEW BX-2200 with backhoe??

I was told that a "beefed-up" version of the BX-2200 was on its way, with an optional backhoe. I also read some discussions around a "BX-22" (with backhoe). Is that the new machine?
Does anyone know where to find some info? I can't believe Kubota doesn't show anything on their website yet.

The BX22TLB is the the BX with a backhoe. It may or may not actually be beefed up whatever that may mean. It should be avaialbe very soon, I have a flier somwheres around here. J

The BX22 uses the platform of the BX2200 but has been beefed up as stated. It incorporates a sub-structure to absorb the twisting and flexing experienced when using the backhoe. This protects the tractor. A sub-structure is not a sub-frame (add-on) it is part of the tractor and all implements are designed to be used without interference from one another. The implements are also installed and removed without the requirement of tools. The BX2200 is not designed to accept a backhoe, only the model BX22 is available with backhoe and loader installed with the 60" mower deck optional. Good Luck!

Does anyone have any idea of the price yet? Also, will I be able to buy a BX22 without backhoe at first (cost control!) and add it onto it later on? Thanks again.

They had the new BX22 at the Central Ohio Power Show in Cols, Ohio at the end of January. The price with backhoe and loader was to be around $15,900 but that could change. They said you could only by the BX22 with the loader and backhoe and the mid mount mower was optional I believe. It should be showing up at dealers soon if not already.

Well, I just passed a truck full of BX22's on the highway this morning!! Wow, I must have held traffic behind me for a couple of minutes but I couldn't believe how cool that "little" piece of machinery looks. I called my local dealer who just received his first shipment...I'll be stopping by on my way home tonight.

To answer my own questions, the MSRP is indeed $15.990 for the complete setup, with FEL and backhoe. It is only sold in that configuration, with optional mowing deck.

And for the BX1800/2200 owners who are wondering if their machine can be modified to accomodate this new backhoe, the answer is NO. The original BX1800/2200 frame had to be redesigned and structurally reinforced in order to deal with the stress generated by a backhoe.

We're surely going to see a lot of trade-in's in the spring...
