BX - 23
Hi Guys,

I just joined the BX Owners Group the other day!!!
She sure is a pretty little thing.
Had to rework & winterproof my old (in need of overhaul), little 1 stall cow shed out back to have semi dry winter storage.
Now to replace all that rich loom with some gravel to get out of the back yard when it's wet!
My wife's happy I buried a big boulder & removed a stump & grassed in an area she's wanted done for some time.
Just havin a blast playin a round...
I used to have a job running a Case 530 & 580 years ago but this little thing is in a category all by itself. Hope it'll do most of what I point it at, ha.
Dealer gave me everything to do the 50 hour service myself. Got 11 hours on her so-far..Already greased her once already.
I'll baby it, too pretty to push too hard.
Thank's for bieng here guys. keywest /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Welcome Keywest

Sounds like you are putting your new toy to good use already.

Now all you need to do is post some pics of your new machine and it's accomplishments. It's raining here and if I cant play, than watching someone else is the next best thing. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been having a blast with mine too. Installed the landscape rake last night to try it out. Am raking the smaller broken branches and debris out of the yard tomorrow evening.

You might want to consider some gauge wheels on that puppy, or you might be raking more than just branches. You might be tearing out the grass by the roots.... ouch...... that hurts... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

THank's guys for the welcome, I washed & waxed it today just to help keep it decent thru the winter, Waxing is not something I do too often!!
No time on machine since, too much of the other - work.

Aardvark, what kind of rake are you using, a rake is something that I really could use soon.

Thanks again guys,

keywest, the rake is a King Kutter XB Series 60". I bought it from TSC, I think it was $350 but I can't remember exactly. I didn't buy the gauge wheels, but I might make some. I used it for several hours today, the BX pulls it really well.

BRIGUY, yes that's an extra AG tire for the BX machines. I found a set of four for a BX on ebay locally for pretty cheap, so I just bought them. I had thought about making some adapters and run dual wheels on it for extra traction, but with the owners manual saying not o offset the wheels, I'm not sure if I actually will make them or not. I don't want to put too much bending stress on the axles, and I think I have a way to keep the outside tire from putting too much load, but frankly, if there's no load on the outboard tires then they don't help with traction, making dual tires pointless. Really, the tires were cheap enough so that I was just willing to buy them and let them sit, the dual tire idea came to me as I was letting them sit. I think they have the same lug pattern as my Toyota pickup, so I might test fit them on that also. Not sure the 12" wheel will go over the brake drum on the Toyota axle. I definately doesn't go over the 8.8" Mustang axle brake drums in the same picture, I already tried.
