Kubota BX2200 (Recently Sold)
Well, the day finally arrived! Yesterday I drove 5 hours (each way) to pick up the BX. Have the 2200, FEL, and MMM. Also picked up the mulching kit so that I would have 2 sets of blades - 1 for my lawn, the other for weeds / hard work. My only experience so far is pulling off of 1 trailer onto another, and driving aroound in my gravel area for awhile in the dark. I'm looking forward to going home this evening to give her a better workout! Thanks to everyone on TBN for your input.

Sure, you can drive 10 hours to get your BX, but can't spend 5 minutes to post a picture! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Congratulations on your new addition. Don't feel bad about driving it around on your gravel area. Some guys just sit in their garages and run the MMM! At least you're driving yours! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

The picture will be coming (Haven't had a chance to download it yet), but I don't know if you will be able to see the tractor due to the size of the grin on my face!

Heck, sometimes I don't even start it. I just sit there and repeat "Toe Puk It Toe Puk It Toe Puk It Toe Puk It....." over and over. I've had mine for 6 mo now and I still head down to the garage once in a while to look at it or mess with something on it for no good reason. That's what 10 years with yards too small to justify a tractor will do for ya!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The mulching kit consists of 3 new "Mulching Blades", similar to the mulching blades on a lawnmower - designed to cut up the grass into smaller pieces, and a metal cover that goes over the side chute to keep the grass up in the blades. I have used a mulching mower for years and have been very pleased - thought I'd do the same with the BX.

And I forgot to ask, how much does the kit cost?

thanks, mark

The kit was just over $200 - I think I paid $209. From reading earlier posts I don't think you need the kit to mulch - I've heard the regular blades will do an excellent job. But I did want an extra set anyhow and I figured I may as well go with what I like for my lawn.
