My dealer told me that the new models will raise/move hydraulics much faster at idle. With my BX2200, you have to raise the throttle to get the FEL to move with any speed...supposedly they changed that with the BX2230....

I am looking to purchase an L3830 in the next month or so and I really want a wide stance but need the hillside traction of R1's but I have not been able to find a dealer who had R1W's for the 3830. )</font>
Some folks call these tires "bar-turfs"...they somewhat look like bar (ag) tires, but are real floaters when you are out doing the mowing thing. You get the grip when you need it and the gentle touch otherwise. I've never seen this kind of tire on any of the larger machines.
Is the engine the same displacement and horsepower? I would think that the HP was now 23 based on the BX1500, BX1800 and the B2xxx Series Compact tractors labeling these past few years.
