Well isn't this interesting. I thought in past years I remembered the bx products had a differential lock . . But now ive checked my 60, 70, and 70-1 brochures and none of them talk or list this feature. Strange . . because its an important feature on hills as well as muddy situations . . and especially now with competitors dropping or not having the feature on their units.

Well I'm glad you guys mentioned this . . Thanks.

The lesson learned . . Cummulative knowledge isn't measured by diplomas :)

AxleHub,

I forgot about a biggie (IMO): does the competition offer a lightweight, inexpensive "quick hitch" on their FEL's, like on Kubota's BXxx70's?

. . . .

I'd like to hear your thoughts on what the competition offers, in this regard, if you have the time to share.

My Hoe

Greetings my hoe,

Like you . . I beleve quick hitch and quick attach abilities is a considerable value to look for in competitors and the bx offerings have some good options. I'm not the shiniest apple in the bushel basket . . So just a couple weeks ago I asked someone sharper than me by a bunch for his input on my assessments. I saw Kubota not only as having good offerings in implements and attachments . . but also a wider selection . . still orange . . . but not with the Kubota name on it.

I spoke with a Land Pride territory manager. They offer attachment products that work directly to kubota standards. In fact they have a poster that shows just bx approved implements . . and its a surprising quantity. Kubota engineering has to approve each one before Land Pride announces and offers it for sale. Strength and weight are key issues and then everyone of them is in the official orange :).

Other names like Woods and others offer products for kubotas and yanmars etc. etc. . . .but Land Prides agreement is unique with kubota bx . . . more of a psrtnership on giving bx users designed products.

Any scut manufacturer that closely aligns with an addon manufacturer for implements is smart because the scut manufacturer can focus on the machines and then oversee someone elses creative ideas as well as their "fit and feel". Land Pride has some other new bx specific products recently released and a couple more yet to be approved in 2015.

To my opinion its smart business to be a sector leader like kubota is with the bx focused sub compact market. But but but what is really smart . . is they understand their bx products like a few other scut makers . . . last for decades . . so they develop ways for those products to continue to grow in capability . . benefiting customers' future as well as the present.

My BX2360 has rear diff lock also. I do like my BX, it has plenty of power and does all I ask of it. I also looked at other of tractor brands before buying my Kubota.
I also considered the different dealers in my area. That helped me decide on Kubota. If you decide on a Kubota you won't be sorry.
