2005 Kubota BX23
I have been sucking information from this site for over a year now and I finally made the decision to buy a BX23. A fellow member (TroyR57) posted a few weeks ago about the BX23 he was buying from a dealer (Patrick Miller Tractor Co.) in Winnfield, La. and listed the prices he was quoted. I immediately got excited because the dealer was not far from my fishing camp where I wanted to use the tractor. I called the same salesman (Sam Homan) and was given the exact same prices over the phone without negotiating and he said he would deliver it for free (90 miles). I was quoted $14,400 for the TLB, $1650 for the 60" mmm, and $165 for the high output alternator installed for a total of $16,215. Sam delivered everything Sunday morning and I couldn't be happier. The first thing I did was remove the FEL and backhoe so I could mow the front of the property. The tractor is smooth and quiet and the mower cuts great. The power steering is exceptional and I was amazed at how easy it was to maneuver around trees compared to my Murray riding tractor. I then put the FEL and backhoe back on and moved a little mulch and dug a few holes. It has more than enough power to move the tractor around while digging. As far as removing the FEL and backhoe, it went relatively quick and I had zero problems just following along in the manual. I estimate it should take no more than a few minutes after you do it a couple of times. Overall I am impressed with the quality and it exceeded my expectations for handling and comfort. Thanks to TroyR57 and TBN for helping me get a great deal.

It probably took about 10 minutes for each because I would do a step and then read the next step. It actually went very smoothly and it amazes me that this stuff will go on and off with no tools. I did do this on a concrete floor. The other thing that surprised me was that you could lift the wheels off the floor with the engine at only a fast idle.

Congratulations on the new machine! I have taken the mower deck off of mine (man it's heavy) but haven't tried to remove the hoe or FEL yet. You made it sound so easy I just may have to try it for the sake of trying it! I will need to get the hoe off before I try to mow, it adds too much weight. Good luck and post some more pictures once you start digging! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Congratulations, very nice tractor, if I might say so myself. Seeing as you got the same deal, I did.

I wish you many years of fun and happiness on the BX23. I am glad that it has exceeded your expectations for how much power it has.

I was wondering, if you remember any of the prices that you had been quoted before, you found this deal?

Any way Sam said he should have the other BX 23 in this weekend or next, still plenty of time before I get home, although its getting closer, I have been told to expect an assignment in Louisiana in about two weeks. I can’t wait.

Wow, did I tell you how great the photo looked, the only thing that would have made it better if the rig was sitting at my place. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Troy,

I had a quote for $16,650, $17,200, and $17,400 all NOT including the high output alternator. I also had a quote from a dealer many states away that was a few hundred dollars more on the total package. Sam gave us a very good price. The picture really doesn't look too great due to the resolution loss posting it here but not to worry, I'm sure yours will look great sitting at your house.
