I recently purchased a BX25 which I received last Thursday. Great little machine!
I worked it Thursday, Friday and Saturday. At about 11 hours I refueled. There must have been a gallon left because I put in a little less than 5 gallon to fill it up. Shortly after refueling the engine began to cut-off for a split second then would power back up. It seemed as if it were about to shut off then it would ramp up to full power again It did this about 5 times or so (within the hour) then no longer. I had to stop for the night.
Yesterday, Sunday, I worked it on and off about 6-8 hours, no such problems until very late in the day. It was getting dark but I had to finish putting in a 300 lb rock. So I put on the work light back up to the work spot, dug a hole with my backhoe and was done. As I was backing up into the garage with all the light on, the moment I hit revers the engine cut out totally. Although it started up right away it did this another 2 times before I was able to park it and shut it down. It is when I hit the reverse pedal that it cut out.
Here aremy questions:
1. Do you think the fuel has anything to do with it?
2. Can it be a fuel pump issue?
3. Can it be related to the alternater issue?
Has anyone else encountered such an experience. I am bummed out this new machine is doing this otherwise it's great. Please help if you can. Thanks you.
