I've been hot and cold on the tractor search for a couple of years and have recently ramped my efforts up and have made my mind up to purchase a BX24 or 25. My original plan was to go used. So, I've been checking Craigslist every night, tractor house, Kubota dealers etc. My inquiry is twofold.
First, looking for pricing opinions, recommendations, info.
-I have reviewed and looked at my share of used BX24's and BX25's. Some of the used pricing is unbelievable, but at the same time speaks volumes for Kubota resale value and quality. I recently got a price on a new 2012 BX25 at $15,800 from a dealer or $16,500 if I want to take advantage of their 60 and 0% deal. Seems like a no brainer or too good to be true?? Most late model low hours used tractors seem to be within a couple grand of this number.
Second, I'm looking for advice on attachments. I do not have lots of property to maintain but I have a list of projects that the BX will make easier and a lot more fun (and lets be real the list will only get longer). So I see myself as a light to medium duty type of user. I'm thinking a box scraper and either a 42" or 48" bush hog. I do not want to go dirt cheap. I appreciate quality even if I will not necessarily put extreme wear and demand on these. What kind of recommendations/comments/opinions can you pass on pertaining to brand, specs, pricing, etc?
Last, I sure hope using my tractor (when I get it) will be as much fun as reading thru all the great discussions on this forum has been! Looking forward to hearing what you guys have to say!
