I just purchased a new BX25D. I have less than 10 hours on it. I'm having issues with the seat latch not latching but my big problem is that after using the loader for half an hour or so the bucket won't raise or pivot. I shut it down and restarted it but no change. If I leave it overnight it works again. Has anyone seen this behavior? The transmission fluid level is normal.

Thanks
Paul

Try reseating the connections on the hydraulic hoses...

First thing to check is that the hydraulic circuit isn't open somewhere else. A common source of this is if the three point hitch lever isn't in the neutral position. Next hing I would do is reseat all the quick connects. If those suggestions don't help post back and tell us if you hear any noises and if the tractor moves and steers normally.

Good luck!

Thanks. I will try that when it happens again.

I'd go with rbarker and deano's advice. At the same time check the hydraulic level orange dipstick before starting up the tractor to make sure you are not churning up bubbles. My first suspicion would be the 3pt lever is engaged - but if it stuck up/down, you'd be hearing a squeal when it reachs the stop. My second place to check is the power beyond hose loop for the BH. If the BH is off, be sure the short hose is seated properly.

I checked the oil level in the transmission and it was at the bottom of the dip stick so I filled it to the top line. The bucket worked for 15 minutes then stopped working again. The backhoe worked so it's not that there's no hydraulic pressure. I verified that the three point hitch is in neutral. The transmission sounds louder to me than the one on the BX2230 that I had but I don't know that it's out of the ordinary. I shut it down for 15 minutes and then tried again and the bucket worked for about 5 minutes then quit again. I shut it off for a couple minutes and now the bucket works again but the backhoe bucket wont open. It feels like the control isn't actuating to the right. If the dealer was open today I'd tell them to come pick it up.

Any update on this bx? This is very disappointing.

Hopefully not a major fix

No news yet. The dealer has it. They did identify a bulletin on the seat latch that will help the original problem.

low oil would do it... I hopee it didnt ruin the pump. Did the dealer say its still full? If not I wonder where oil is going?

I'm sorry there are troubles, and I am pretty surprised, actually. If the oil is on the stick, I'd imagine that's not the issue, but proper level is always better.
It sounds to me like there is a piece of trash migrating through the system.
