Do you plan to replace the manual ram with a "tractor ram" and hook it up to your rear remotes (if you have rear remotes)?

Looks good, but be sure to add LOT'S of weight to the front of the tractor!! I can easily see the leverage factor tipping the front end up into the air. Also, considering the size of the steel frame the picker is made with, that little drawbar it's bolted to looks pretty skimpy. The drawbar's greatest strength is in the horizontal plane as in pulling heavy loads, not vertical as in supporting heavy loads. It should work fine though as long as you don't ask too much of it.

I did almost the same but I use the pin hitch at the bottom of the tractor to pin the unit to the tractor and I wound up running so chains from each side back to the rollcage bar from the top pivot bolt to stabalize the unit mine does not use the top link adjustable link, I pin right to the tractor where the adjustable link would go. I found you can get some serious side torque out on the end of the boom if you travel with any kind of load. Just be careful how you operate the boom and mine is used off of the hydraulic remote valve. bjr
