Great coop, congratulations. Like MotorSeven I use electric around my birds. Works great.
Nice coop, I use wood shavings and about every week or two just through in a new cover of shavings. About every six months we clean the coop out and use the shavings in our compost pile. Good stuff for the garden. Glad I don't have racoons. I do have coyotes but they have not gotten any chickens, just our ducks.

I use the wood shavings in the nesting boxes. Hadn't thought about putting them on the floor. Been gone for about 6 days; just got back home and have 10 eggs. Still laying and it's nearly Christmas.
