New CK3510H Daskboard/Horn

I just took delivery of a new CK3510H and spent a couple hours on it yesterday. I have searched the forum and read my manual and still am not quite sure of these couple things. I wanted to check with this group first as I would rather fix my things up first then bring it back to dealer as I do not have a trailer to haul tractor.

Dash lights
- On key on I get all sorts of lights that briefly come on, I see 4wd, PTO, Neutral, and brake.
- After starting tractor all those lights go off, and will not come back on when those items are engaged

In reading this forum, seems that this happens to some? Is there something wrong with something or just the way it is? I understand that different models use the same cluster, but why are the lights even briefly coming on? Are the switches just not on the components?

Horn
- I have a nice big red horn button, manual states that pressing this is for the horn
- Nothing happens when I press said horn I do not see a horn anywhere, although i may be missing it

Again, in doing searches in this forum, I only came up from some kits with older models that seem to have this same issue, horn switch but no horn from factory. Shouldnt this be something that is installed? Should the dealer provide one?

Is there a shop manual online somewhere for that model? If so, it should show where the horn is.
My DK45 has all those lights and the appropriate ones go on when the matching function is active.

I have a Kubota RTV 1100 with a radio that lights up and appears to work...except, just like your missing horn, there don't seem to be any speakers...so Kioti isn't the only manufacturer that doesn't always follow through.

Great suggestion for an online service manual. Ill see what I can find. I did read a post that somebody had the plugs in the front. Sure would be nice to have those lights lite up. I have already forgotten once that I had the brake set

As far as the horn goes it doesn't come with it go figure, you have to buy it and add it on, there is a plug under the hood. I did and it is a very wimpy horn. not really worth it

As far as the lights I have noticed the same thing, my PTO light comes on but that is the only one that ever comes on, brake nope and 4 wheel drive nope

Like Tigershark says...I was thinking of installing a horn just to signal my wife if I needed help of any kind, any 12 volt horn would work.

I contacted my dealer and he is getting me one from Kioti, $10. Silly it didn't come with it. Now I just need to find a way to get some of my dash lights hooked up. Would really like the brake light working.

You will have to add an end switch of some sort to activate the brake light, no switch is installed on the tractor. That is why so many lights don't work, no switches or sensors are installed on the CK3510 to wire to the lights. You should know when the brakes are applied anyway. even if you sometimes forget to release them right away...we all do :muttering:

Mine didn't come with a horn, the dealer said you have to buy it separately. As far as the lights on the dash mine does the same-thing And I don't understand why they don't stay on for the pto or the 4x4 or the parking brake, it would be nice if they did.

I'm looking through the manual and the PTO and parking brake looks like they should definitely light up

I know all about it, I don't understand the lights. You would think they would work. I bought mine in January brand new, CK 3510 HST, what's the cense of having them light up only when you start it, if their not going to do what they are made to do. There is a lot of things about kioti I don't understand. I had a John Deere 3032 before this. I thought this was a better machine. And somethings are. But somethings kioti could of done better and there is no reason why. Except price. You get what you pay for they say. Call the dealer and ask. If you find out let me know. Probably another add on you need to pay for.
