New compact new holland

Just to clarify, the current (2017-18) New Holland compact tractors (Boomer compact and Workmaster compact) are made by LS tractor and have the same LS Mtron 1.9L 3-cyclinder turbo diesel engine. Other year New Holland tractors may be made somewhere else by someone else but the current compact models (Boomer/Workmaster) are made by LS. They have "LS Mtron Ltd." listed on the manufacturer VIN plates. The dealer I spoke with this month was not afraid to say who makes their tractors.

Side by side you can see they share nearly all parts.

Your dealer must not have the Boomer Easy drive series, the 46d or 54d. They have the Fiat power engine and are made in Mexico. Ask him about those tractors.

Does Ls make all new holland current compact tractors

LS Makes many of the NH Compacts. NH is now bringing out a Subcompact Series made by LS also. The New subcompact is bolt for bolt a LS MT125/122. LS makes a very solid tractor, so don't take it as a negative. LS was a spin off of LG products.

Not to change the subject, but was the NH 8N compact Retro considered a success by NH?. Seems they were quite popular when introduced. Wonder how many were produced? Rarely see posts concerning this tractor. Who built it for NH?

The Boomer 8N was made by Shibaura for CNH. About 1200 were produced from 2009-2011. It was geared to collectors and did not generate the sales that were expected which is why CNH pulled the plug on it. It is basically the same as the 3050 model as far as engine and performance but cost $8,000-$10,000 more.

I use mine pretty much as a dedicated mower with a 6' cutter. It works great.
