One question, I know laws are different from state to state, but are you legally allowed to pull a trailer rated for that much weight with a F-150?

Hey Kyle, like you said, laws are different in different states but I think you can tow any rated trailer as long as the towed weight is not over the max tow rating for the truck. I've got a similar truck (F150) and it's rated to tow 10,000 +lbs. Works fine here in the relatively flat lands of Texas.

I'm good to go here in Michigan. My truck can tow about 10,000 lbs. My trailer empty is 4,000 lbs so that leaves about 6,000 lbs for tractor and accessories. I hauled it for the first time a few days with no problems.

Okay, I was just wondering. :thumbsup:

I know in some states you would not be able to tow that trailer empty if your truck was not rated to tow the full GVWR of the trailer.

With an FEL and ballast you will be pushing the high end of your weight limit. Be careful.
