New Engine break-in. How many miles or hours

Didn't that thing come with an Owner's Manual? :confused3:

Myself, I'm looking at the 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium. What I'm seeing that I don't like is the value drop on the used 2016s. Nearly 60% depreciation in one year. Disclaimer: Many of those are high mileage rental cars. I also don't like that I can't find one without the moon roof. It's special order to delete the moon roof. That's a $1000+ option I could live without. :confused2:

I personally change a new car after 500 a miles and again at 3,000.. Then every 6-8k using high quality synthetic and good filter.

With it being a Subaru.. check the oil every 2,000 miles.

In my Chevy I check the oil once a week and never change it. It changes itself by leaking it out and me filling it back up.

LOL, once had a V8 powered chev that ran so clean that the engine never had an oily spot on it.
One day a client pointed out the huge oil spot on the pavement that proved to be ALL my oil.
Being so clean the oil pan simply rusted from the outside in.
Thanks to all the salt on Quebec roads, and some gravel roads I guess.

My truck does have 223,000 miles so leaking a little oil is probably acceptable. And my oil pan is protected. I hadn't even thought of that! That brings up another idea. Kinda like a bar oiler on a saw what about a frame oiler on a truck?
