That warm spell of last week sure was a teaser Jay,and it seems cabin fever gets a little longer each year...still no signs of robin up here as of yet.

That flock of juvenile males disappeared with this snow storm. I still see a couple of older established males who do not generally migrate during the winter. I did see a turkey vulture soaring above the Connecticutt River and some V's of geese yesterday when I came down off my "Hill" and went down into the "Valley". I really feel bad for the the sugaring operators this year. This has been a poor season for them. Jay

I'm going to turn the tables on this one slightly.

Last summer i bought a nice used rear blower for my tractor. As luck would have it, in the fall i bought a new-to-me pickup truck. Attached to this truck was a snowplow. I didn't want or need a plow, but with the price i paid, the plow was more than free. All winter my blower has been sitting in the barn collecting dust. I could resist no longer. I mounted the blower on the tractor and left the plow sitting in the yard ! Did three of the neighbors driveways too..... i didn't realize how much fun i was missing sitting in my nice warm pickup with the heat going all winter ! I see now what i was missing by not putting the blower on in December ! Anyone want to buy a nice used Fisher plow for their truck ????
