New F-150 Motor Lineup

I think it's one of those decisions where there is no wrong answer, and either one has some advantages.
I still see the V6 3.5l TT as the "wrong answer" unless your buying a car or race truck. I highly doubt that engine will pull a load as well as a decent V8 and the fuel mileage when towing will be no where near as good as the V8's. Unloaded and not building boost, I'm sure that V6 will get 23+ mpg but when those turbos spool and it starts dumping fuel to compensate, that mileage will drop rapidly.
It will be nice to read the PickupTrucks.com write-up on the F-150 V6 they are doing now.

Wow, it looks like even EMPTY most of those guys are only getting 15-18 mpg.

They are rated at 15/21 and 16/22 I think. Most of the reviews I read are right there with the EPA numbers, ranging from 14-23 mpg, and some of that is with mixed towing. Some higher than that, and some lower too. No one expects them to get super milage while towing, but they are beating previous V8's when guys are comparing their new 3.5 to their previous rides while towing the same trailers/campers. And by quite a bit. So far the engine seems to be "as advertised".
