I'm betting you won't find anyone who will split up a ring and pinion set, even if you only use the ring gear.

Hey tractorernie, Dave said he had a FH16D parts tractor. Would you know if the ring and pinion set are interchangable?

I was planning on posting an update this afternoon. The ring gear has been replaced and all that is left to do is reconnect the hydraulics. Alot more of a challenge than I expected. But so far so good. It is kind of odd that the ring gear was totally missing. The people at Western Kentucky Tractor parts, good people to work with, said they had a couple of tractors come into their salvage yard in similar condition. Everything else looked good on my tractor. Anxious to get it off the blocks and put it to work! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
