ns_in_tes,

I have the air tires on my mower as well and filled them with slime on the suggestion from one of our friends out here on TBN (Kodiak). I balked at the solid tires since I have one on my brush hog and don't like it at all. I have added air after the very first use and then once I slimed the tires I haven't had to add any air at all.

The tires are incredibly smooth and the mower works very well. I pull my 6 footer with a 24 HP JD855 and dragging it around and up and down slopes isn't a problem at all. I use it to mow my actual grass yard area and some other areas that I used to use the brush hog on. It mows those areas very easily.

good idea with the slime ! I too planned on doing that. I am very pleased with the capability of this mower and now that I have a fender mount radio on my tractor time just flies by while mowing. I also mow my regular lawn with my First Choice. It mows as well if not better than the Simplicity lawn tractor I traded in. I know it disperses the clippings in heavy grass much better

Neal: have been using a Beffco 5' finish mower , with air tires for 2 summers now and i like it. my old mower, side discharge with hard tires did not do as good of a job. the hard tires were narrower and gouged when wet, plus if mud got built up between yoke and tire it would roll the tire off the rim, a royal pain. this may have been a design factor or a hard tire factor. in any event have no complaints on air filled tires.

I get pictures when using Netscape as the internet browser, but the pictures overlap the text. Using MS Internet Explorer, no pictures. I think I'm going to upgrade both browsers to the latest version. Been a while.

Howdy!

I was wandering around my local NH dealer last night, and spotted some First Choice box blades. I didn't know they were a dealer for the First Choice line, but they had 2-3 60in models, and 2 72in units. Hmmm...

I must say that they were very well designed, and the paint has to be the best I've seen on any implement, regardless of brand. They actually looked "pretty," and the blue sure looked exactly like NH blue. I've been kicking around getting a 6ft rotary cutter, and will have to compare their heavy duty 30-series to the Fred Cain Agricutters [of which I have a 5ft model]. They've sure got the FC's beat in the paint department!

Best Regards,
Jay
