I just got my new 6' First Choice finish mower. It was a cinch to put together and start mowing. I really like the lower 3 pt connections. Very easy to use and connect and allow the mower to tip side to side freely following the ground while staying behind the tractor. I tried it in 5-6 inch long neglected lawn and it worked flawlessly. It evenly distributed the clippings nicely and the air tires rolled much more smoothly than my hard rubber tired Caroni. I now have a 6' demo use only Caroni rear discharge for sale! Great mower but not as many features as the First Choice. Feel free to call with questions on either mower!

What size tractor are you using to pull the mower and how even is your yard. Considering buying one myself. Thanks

Does anybody have the web address for First Choice? I must be doing something wrong, all my searches don't come up with it. Thanks, John.

I have the First Choice GM30-72, 72" 3pt rear discharge finish mower. And use it to mow 3 acres of old pasture now a quasi lawn, It consist of rolling ground and old cowtrails so its not the smoothest. With its floating hitch and pneaumatic tires, I get a real good cut. This mower weighs @ 600 lbs and I pull it with a Class II New Holland Boomer (TC29) with no Problems. This Combo of mower and tractor gets used on an almost daily basis as part of my property maintenance business and after 5 1/2 months I have no complaints.

The website for First Choice is <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.firstchoiceequipment.net/>http://www.firstchoiceequipment.net/</A>

crb,
I have used both my Iseki TU180 (21hp 4x4) and my Iseki TU220 (26hp4x4). Both tractors handle the mower like a dream. My shipping slip said the mower weighs 570 lbs. It is very solidly built and does a nice job mowing. I just wish I had it at the beginning of summer as the mowing season in WI is quickly coming to an end in a month or so. :)

For whatever reason, I've never been able to get pictures to come up on that site. The text and links seem to work fine, but no pictures. I'm running a Dell 466 notebook with a 56K modem connection and using AOL 7.0. I have no problem with pictures from any other sites or downloads. Any suggestions?

Do you get any pictures or just some? I get some. Seems like they don't have very many pictures. Just the model# and weight.

crb,
Forgot to answer the yard question. My front yard is fairly flat with some sloped spots. My back yard is just part of the hayfield I built my house on. I started mowing it in the spring and kept after it. It has a couple of steep slopes as the rear of my house is a walk out style. Land slopes down to the bottom of the house. It is odd mowing with the mower on back instead of under you like a garden tractor but you quickly get used to it and just turn differently. I like the idea that I can also pick it up several feet off the ground when I get too close to my little nursery trees or my kids toys. Easily goes right over them w/o shredding them up.
