As most know, the MX4700/5100 doesn't come with a rubberized floor mat so I decided to add one before all the paint was worn off the steel deck. This is a 3'x4' stall mat which can be purchased from TSC for about $20. It took me a couple of hours to cut this down with a razor knife. I used some cardboard to create a template for the curvature around the wheel wells. Other than that, it involved a lot of trial fitting and trimming. It is held in place with 1/4" x 1 1/2" grade 2 nuts, bolts, washers & lock washers. With the thickness of this mat, I would expect it will last about 10 times as long as a factory mat.

Looks good!

Keep an eye on rust since the mat may hold moisture in. I removed the factory mat from my NH for that very reason.

I'll keep an eye on it. I wanted the mat for the grip. My tractor stays in my 3 sided shed when not in use so not much exposure to direct rain unless I get caught up in a storm. Not likely with 25 acres - I don't have any reason to go out if it looks like bad weather. ;)
It would be easy enough to take up and check the way I have it fastened down. I could always put the bed liner paint on later.

Very nice Herkypilot! I have a MX 5100 also:thumbsup:, just today after slipping and sliding on it, I was thinking of some sort of mat. I was cutting wood and with the snow it made the floor quite slippery.

I am quite pleased with mine. It works well. By the way, I didn't drill any new holes in the deck to fasten down. I used the existing holes from the factory.

Herkypilot, your mat looks great! My MX5100 has about 16 hours on it and the orange under my heels when on the brakes and on the clutch is already wearing off as well as where my feet rest when not on the pedals.

I've thought about both the bed liner and the mat solution. Glad I am not alone. I like the bed liner solution better than trying to cut a mat at this point. I plan to paint the deck before applying the bed liner. Bed liner makes sense because I need to recoat the bed of my truck too.
