New for 2016, JD changes warranty on CUTS

Deere added this warranty because Mahindra has a 6 year warranty and they were losing sales to them

Or local John Deere Dealer network James River Equipment has a 10 year 1000 hour power train warranty on all 1 to 5 series tractors.

Which James river dealer do you use? I'm looking at buying a 3039r from one of them . Have a quote from them but no mention of the 10 yr 1000 hr. Just the JD 2 yr 2000 hr.

Im near the burkeville va dealer, but check there web sight, jamesriverag.com they have a banner about the warranty. I did find out some more info on this, you have to have the services done by dealer to qualify for the long warranty period. You sign up or decline the extended warranty at time of purchase. if you decline you get 24/2000.

The James River dealer I spoke with just extends the 6 yr warranty to 10 if you get yearly service through them. If you opt out it is still a 6 yr warranty...although my issue is they will not deal on price and parts are at a premium.

Same issue hear with. $3000 dollar difference. I did the papers elsewhere on different brand yesterday.

Kubota had to react as well to this news. Kubota Limited Warranty | Kubota Tractor Corporation Theirs is promotional though and appears to be possibly going away in July?

I honestly feel that Mahindra was eating everyone's lunch and pulling market share with their 5 year power-train Warranties. It was a non trivial factor in my purchase. Now if buying today, I would have to take a harder look at JD and Kubota.

As noted above - Competition is a good thing in terms of pricing and innovations!

Massey has 5 yr power train also. Salesman said Kubota was killing them. Around here it JD, massey, new Holland , and kubota as major players. Kioti dealer opened about 2 yrs ago.
