New friend for the diesel family

Please just call me Richard, we're all friends here, or most of us anyway. I do much appreciate the courtesty though! The chip that I'm getting is only 60 hp and 115 lbs. of torque. The main reason I'm getting it is because it's supposed to firm up the shifts on the auto tranny and help it last longer. I don't really hotrod them. 90% of the time it will be used it will be hooked to my horse trailer. My main purpose is longevity. Heck I never planned on getting rid of my last one for another 100k or so but this deal was just too good to pass up. I must say though this auto tranny has me worried. This is the first auto pickup that I've ever had. Never had much trouble in a car but I hear horror stories about them in pickups.

Richard, I had quite a number of years experience with RVs and pickups pulling them, and as long as you don't overheat it, I've never heard of any unusual transmission problems except with the Dodge diesels.
