The gripe I have with the tubular manual cases are that it curls the manuals up making them a pain to read.

That's easy. Just don't store them in the tube. :D

My guess would be real world experience. I know that it has cost me close to $2000 in bent up mangled implements that the dealer had said would be fine with my tractor that were not. We learn from experience and some of us pass that knowledge on. Another thing that I think is wrong about how these implements get rated. Many manufacturers rate by horse power when they should be rating by tractor weight. Horse power is worthless without some weight to get it to the ground when it comes to ground working implements.
If a person was to WORK that blade behind a 5075M, I would give it less than a day before it had some sort of damage done to it.

All of my comments are based on experience, others will vary.

Well said, I agree with you that they should be rated by tractor weight rather than horsepower. IMO I feel this blade is well suited for our 4520 due to the type of work that we do with it. I would be hesistant to use it on a 5000 series machine.

Hopefully we will be just fine with it due to the light work it will do.

Nice pics, i am considering a rear mounted snow blower in the future.

Thanks! A snowblower would be very nice for these machines!

There is a lot of threads on TBN that discuss the setup you are looking for - Lots of great reading.

Nothing like moving snow from the heated cab.

It was our understanding that this was the heaviest Frontier blade you could get in the cat. 1 category. Maybe we overlooked some?

At the advice of our JD salesman, we went across the street to get a blade. Wound up with a landpride 4084 rated for cat 2 horsepower. I guess that jd/frontier is betting that most folks never ride to the egde of capability. If you understand the limits then everything is great.

I got a full 6 way hydraulic system, with buffers. So far I have broken one buffer valve.
(fine print note) Loaded tires, skidder chains over R4's 4-in-1 bucket full of concrete chunks. I broke the buffer when I was ripping sandstone/ mudstone and found a old 1" steel waterline. I sheared the line off, then found the offset was freely moving after the impact.
