Wow!One hour to mow the lawn, one hour to clean the machine and 2 hours to look at it!That's the five hours I used to spend cutting the grass! It's like a robot -no shifting gears -reverse is just another pedal-very cool!I ruled the yard today!!!And lo and behold it didn't rain.

Good to hear! Glad all is well!

I gotta ask though; What were your expectations for the delivery of this item to your doorstep?

Did the delivery outfit say in advance they could lower it by lift gate it to your driveway w/ no-one home?

You HAD to know it was going to suck and require special resources not being an <70lb UPS/FedEx/USPS shippable item.

I've got nothing to do with any type of shipping or freight, but a ~700lb palletized, un-setup item like this is meant to be dropped at a loading dock or yanked out with a fork truck.

My only experience with this type of thing was with a small import kids ATV I mailed ordered some time ago. Given the delivery outfit was down the street from where I work, I picked it up at the dock. Lord only knows how long it would have sat there before they got around to scheduling a lift-gate delivery to my house. I signed the "received" paperwork, dude on a fork truck shoved it into the back of my minivan and off I went.

Regardless, you got through it and it was a learning experience for all!

Yeah whew it's over! The shop steward for the drivers said that they deliver lawn tractors all the time for Depot but never anything like this .The crate was 5 feet wide and 7 feet long so yeah it would've been pretty tough for one driver but that is what they promised. My wife says we will be reimbursed and I have to believe her. However I am not one to dwell on the negative and I have to say - this thing is awesome!I did have a little trouble getting it started once while it was hot and I want to figure out the deal with the deck being askew but so far it's perfect.Just please someone make a call and get this rain to stop!

I think you're the second one I've read of over the years who ordered and received one in the crate. It's great to get the first hand accounts on that.

You had a crank but no-start when it was hot? If it happened once, probably just a fluke thing.

Sounds like you'll have to go over the deck linkages to get things square and level. A tiny bit of nose-down is OK.

Yes! The rain is a nightmare. My yard is wet (or should I say swamp) in places that it's NEVER been wet in the years we've lived here. Some of the areas the grass is a foot high 'cause I cant get at it to cut it. Worse yet, we're moving and I'm in the process of having my septic system dye/perc tested by the health dept so we can finalize the closing date! Yayyy! Perfect timing.
