Ok I transferred the pics to another program on my computer and now they are working. I'm not sure what happened the first time. They work fine on my computer but when I attach and load them they didn't work here. But when I put them in another program and attached and loaded they worked. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Crazy world of computers. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Can you post a picture of the new 4WD enagement button. You know what they did to improve on the steering. I assume it is not power assist.

Some info I just got from my dealer.

*NEW* Features and Benefits

*NEW* Standard Occupant Protective Structure (OPS) is certified to SAE roll-over protection standards (ROPS) and provides a more rugged and sporty "off-road" look as well as protection for the operator

*NEW* On-Demand "True" 4WD System with an auto-locking front differential and dash-mounted electronic rocker switch is best-in-class; when the rocker switch is in the "on" (4WD) position, the front differential will automatically lock for extra traction when needed, but when the rocker switch is in the "off" (2WD) position, the vehicle will remain in 2WD
Provides exceptional traction in challenging conditions
Maintains "turf-friendly" operation in 2WD mode

*NEW* Front and Rear Hydraulic Service Brakes with hydromechanical rear park brakes provide best-in-class braking performance; added are an automotive-style dual circuit master cylinder with a see-through reservoir and larger front and rear brake calipers with sintered metallic brake pads
Improved reliability
38% increased clamp force
20% increased brake torque
Smoother-feeling engagement - basically, you are going to stop faster and more efficiently with a more responsive and easier-feeling brake engagement

*NEW* Improved Steering with a change to steel bearings from plastic bushings and an increase of standard tire pressure to 14 psi, enabled by the new front differential
Steering efforts have been reduced by an incredible 30%
Among the top performers versus competition

*NEW* Improved Suspension has 20% more suspension travel for a smoother, more comfortable ride during "normal" off-road use, while maintaining best-in-class ride ride quality with heavy loads
An optional front heavy-duty suspension kit is available for full cab and/or front blade use

*NEW* 4-Bypass Carburetor provides 4 ports for better fuel and airflow compared to the original carburetor
Improved starting and throttle response
Improved overall performance, including superior consistency of operation

*NEW* On-Dash Manual Choke provides easy accessibility and choke moderation for improved engine warm-up

*NEW* Larger Tier 2 Diesel Engine with 854 cc displacement and 33 ft.-lb. of torque will provide incredible performance and improved sound quality while meeting all new CARB requirements

*NEW* Improved Throttle Pedal provides superior control of throttle position in all terrain conditions

I was looking out on the Deere parts site but they don't have the newer HPX as yet. Looking at the past HPX model I'm guessing they changed the plastic bushing in the steering column. Be interesting to see if one could put the steel bearings on the older models. I also guess that raising the air pressure in front tires helped the steering a lot as well.

The displacement of the Tier II diesel went up but isn't the torque (33 ft.-lb) the same as the past diesel? They don't list the HP. Could the increase in displacement be needed to maintain performance while meeting new stanadards?

It was freezing when I took these pics so they aren't the best as there is frost on the dash but here it is.

Tommy,

If you could I would trade. This new one is that much better than last years model. I traded the 6x4 on this one but I'm going to trade the HPX from last year on a new one too. They will trade me for $1500 so I'm going to do it.
