Well, I did it, I upgraded my 2012 GC2400 to a 2015 GC1720. I had the dealer weld on some 3/8 plate to reinforce the top of the bucket for a couple of grab hooks and a "The Thumb" grapple powered by a WR Long 3rd function valve. Out back I have the standard 12" bucket and the factory mechanical thumb. I got the 60" drive over MMM and the 50" front blower with hydraulic rotation and electric chute deflection. Block heater is installed and rear tires loaded.

2016 is going to be a great year!

Ran into my first issue....getting the loader off. Not sure what I'll need first, but I wanted to try hooking up the blower. I followed the same procedure as most of these QA FELs. Put down the parking stand arms, lowered the bucket and put some down pressure with the bucket edge, pulled the pins, and rolled the bucket back. Nothing! I stood and bounced on the bucket edge, Nothing! I tried lifting up on the FEL arms near the mount, Nothing!

What am I missing?

Didn't ask for a demo upon delivery because I was confident I understood what the procedure was....never gave me a problem on my old machine. Dealer is closed for the holiday weekend.

You need to use the loader down pressure to lift the arms up off the mounts. Go slow, it will lift out.

Not sure what you mean. For clarity, there are 3 pins on the loader, the lower, upper, and a locking pin. When the loader locking pins are removed and the lift cylinders will fully retracted, the lower pin come out of its seat, but the upper pin doesn't. When I curl the bucket, nothing happens, thats when I would of expected the upper pin to lift out....

EDIT: I just watched the first couple minutes of this video. Bigger tractor and loader, but the loader design looks nearly identical. It looks like his loader pops out when you curl....mine never pops....
