I just picked up mny new GC2610 and have a couple of questions. The steering wheel continues turn past its max range. It does not stop like a car. Is something slipping or is that the way it works? Cruise control can not be set to max speed. It also falls off slightly when it is set to the speed chosen. When mowing with the 60MMM their seems to be a drone from the left side of the deck when mowing at full throttle. Is this the blade noise or is the spindle noisy? Are their alternative filters and hydraulic fluid other than Massey available? Thanks for the help

that sounds like an adjustment issue.

don't know about the other one.:)

Thanks for the info. The faq answered the steering wheel question. My dealer is 100 miles away. Can I adjust the cruise myself via a linkage?

I looked undermeath and saw a cable for the cruise. I will adjust it slightly to see if I can fix it. Any tips?

The cruise control has sort of brake pads on the lever pivot, you can try turning the nut a little tighter.Mine has never really seemed to work properly and if its to tight you can't really move the lever and to loose and it slowly slows down. I don't really use it so not to concerned about it. As for the steering I think you better call your Dealer and let them know whats going on with the steering.?? It sounds like your orbit steering valve in the dash is faulty or the steering cylinder is faulty.Either one has a problem there's noway that you should beable to keep turning the steering wheel it should come to a stop once the wheels are turned as far as they go.Larry

you issue sounds simalar or same as my BX kubota. My CC uses a rod and slipbar to lock it. When I press it all the way to max speed, I have to let go of HST pedal to let it lock in place and it sure does slow down a bit. When My BX is in rabbit gear, at rated engine speed it, using foot mashed down all the way supposedly can go 8.1 mph . I have tried using max speed on road using CC and I noticed a significant drop in speed. I am guessing that this is normal as same for your GC.

my cruise control backed off until the machine quit moving when i got it.

massey ferguson mechanic adjusted it. works good now. does back off slightly at first, then holds.

it's operation is connected to the brake pedal, pushing the brake backs the cc lever off. also, it must be connected to the hydrostatic pedal assembly because it won't work in reverse.

I adjusted the linkage and it seems to be better. This may sound like a silly question but my max speed at full throttle is only around 8mph and the manual says 9.1mph should be the max. I am measuring the speed without any attachments on and on level pavement. Will the linkage adj on the hydro pedal affect this?I am just trying to get everything set up perfect. One day I might want tor race it!!!
