How about the cab noise, design etc. does it compare to JD.

rgsmitty,

I have no experience with the JD cabs, but have owned a Kubota Grand L 3430 HSTC for more than three years. The factory cab is tight, quiet, easy in and out, two doors, toolbox, cup holder, heats quickly, cools colder than I need it and has met all my expectations. Purchase the rear wiper, rear lights and radio kit. Purchase radio from Best Buy or ?

One feature I really like is the spacoius cab allows you to turn sideways in the seat when operating a rear mounted snowblower and easily operate the reverse function of the treadle hydrostatic pedal with my left foot. Easier on the neck.

The Kubota cab will not disappoint. You will not go wrong with this cab.

I have a JD 3720 with cab. Test drove a Kubota 4330 with cab. Noise level seemed about the same in both. JD says their's is quiter but not noticable. It takes about 3 decibels for the human ear to even detect a difference. JD is suppose to be 5-6 decibels quieter. The layout of controls is slightly different but not a big issue. The side pillars on the kubota cab are slightly annoying compared to the full glass on the JD. I wished the side pillars were not quite so wide on the Kubota, but the pillar does allow for opening of the quarter rear glass which does allow better ventilation. You won't be disappointed with either. Jd suspension seat is very nice but pricey.

Thanks Radman1
I was wondering about the new 2007 L's. I guess I didn't explain myself well.

When I talked to sales guy about the new 2007 L's he did not mention any changes in the cab. I looked at his brochure, and the pictures of the cabs looked the same in style as the current. Reading the brochure, I don't remember any mention or boasting of how quiet the new cab was. Don't worry, the old cab was very good and you won't be disappointed. The new cab will be the same or maybe slightly better. You will love it. Sometimes my JD cab seems almost to quiet. Can't always tell how hard the engine is lugging, did I hit or break something, etc.

Did they slope the front ends of the new models?

The new cab is about 6-7db quiter than the Deere if I recall. They did a test at the dealer meeting with a DB meter and there was a big difference. I drove one and I could tell that its quiter than the old model. The cab is quite a bit different. There are right hand side control consoles, more space, better egronomics, etc, etc. All the things you'd expect from a new model.

Hyd levers better than 3030 cab. Are they incorporated during the build.
