HOLY COW.
Beretta INOX 92fs 9mm 15round clip.
I have never shot a handgun before today and it is a TACK DRIVER. I went with the USA model because of all the finish issues I read about on the Italians. I was pretty apprehensive but watched a bunch of youtube videos on 92fs safety and took a buddy with me that has had guns forever. I ordered the gun from Clark Bros in Warrenton VA because they have a range and their service was good. The background check was backed up so I did not take it home but I did shoot about 125 rounds. I started with a little flinch and too much trigger pull (what my buddy said) and my shots were low and right but I compensated pretty quickly. The laser (crimson trace grip) is a huge advantage for sure.
I never felt great with the first round so next time I will try a manual hammer cock for the first shot.
I LOVE this gun. perfect size and power. I also really loved the time at the range so I will probably get a bigger model, a smaller model and a revolver pretty soon. One guy there was shooting a .44 - wow. It sounded like a tank. The 92fs INOX is beautiful and I shot and felt like a pro. On my third target I shot 23 or so rounds and you can see how tight the pattern is. WOW. If my buddy hadn't gone with me I wouldn't even have shot it. The laser is awesome and I cant wait to shoot again.
Loading the clip sure did suck though. It loosened up after a while but I am thinking about buying a bunch of clips (10 or so) so I don't have to mess with it too often at the range.
Any good cleaning recommendations for the INOX? Any good holster recommendations that wont screw up the finish (even though now that I have it I am not going to worry too much about it)?
